 Post subject: CD drive

I have a CD video i would like to play on my lap to to down load but it will not play.
It will play on a different lap top, but not this one.
Any one can help?

Yes I have tried that.
I have been given a CD of my self and a friend ploughing from about 10 years ago.
I have seen the film and would like to up load it to you tube then on to here.
But I seem to have fallen at the first jump, I can not get it to play on this lap top.

Possibly find that your friend didn't 'Finalise' the disc. This could stop it playing on your laptop.

Kipper, I hate to ask this, but does your computer actually HAVE a DVD reader? CD reader it may have, and a DVD reader will normally also read CDs, but they are different, and a lot of laptops only have CD readers.

If you don't have a dvd player in your laptop could you use the other laptop to transfer it to a memory stick ? your own laptop should then play it as long as it has windows media or a similar programme
