Hi all, found a few photos of cattle trucks from around the 80s I had taken around the cattle markets about here.
So I will have to scan them and then post them on here.
If scanning them them was not bad, then posting them on here will be.
So what is my bast way of doing it? Or should I just post them on FB?
Thanks.

You can't upload them directly here as the site doesn't host (store) pictures so you'll need to host them somewhere like Photobucket. Once you've done that you make a post here, click the 'Image' button above the white window that you see when typing your comments and insert the link between .

So this [img]
plus http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/mrm ... 0731114437
followed by[/img]
becomes this:

If this is too confusing click the quote button under this post and you'll see the characters that make it work.

Or........

Scan the pictures, email them to me, I will put them in my Photobucket account, send you the links and you can post them here.

Flickr or some of the others

Kipper,
one thing you might also consider doing is to run your photos through a simple image processing programme (a free download most likely) before sending them to Photobucket or whatever. You can then crop them, adjust the brightness, adjust the size to maybe 650 pixels wide by 400 high, and most importantly save them as compressed JPG files. That means each photo takes 60 to 80 kbytes when uploaded, instead of 4 - 8 Mbytes - in other words a factor of 100 less. That makes it much faster to upload (or download), takes a lot less storage space, and it comes out about the right size on computer screens.

"Lightbox" is a free download, which I use, and it's dead easy, but there are lots of other similar ones.
