After a foggy start, it has been a wonderful day. Temperature about 60 degrees (in old money) and sun shining from a clear blue sky.

Like an April day.

Mark this as a day I don’t miss the cows:

Sunny, but 40mph winds makes for a ground blizzard.
Measure twice, cut once, curse, repeat.

Daughter said its been pretty cold up in Colorado but she's been a bit crooked since tripping over her skiboot literally 20yds from the resorts medical centre, no stretchering in through the front doors- towed on a skidoo sledge round the back to the casualty doors where a dislocated kneecap was put back in place and one of these leg braces applied

Yesterday our son in law and the twins flew back via Norwegian air while the holiday insurers booked daughter on a BA flight in business class to get room for her leg brace. BA flight cost the insurers £8k

6wks working from home by the looks of it!

I guess holiday insurance paid off. Never thought of it paying for something like that. Hope she recovers quickly.

I do some cross country skiing, never downhill.

Lovely pictures, Mac.

Sorry about the Lady and her injury, but I guess it all worked out in the end.

A beautiful morning here. Cold and frosty to begin with, but thawing fast now.

The temperature got to 16 degrees here yesterday. That's 61 degrees in old money. Amazingly warm for February.

Panic going on here, the weekends rain is being delivered on thursday now, we have borrowed a granule applicator to put blackgrass granules on, had to cobble up the two powerleads as the owners still have them on their tractor. Seeing they are livestock & arable, it shows in the machine generally, especially the bodging of the power lead halves that remain with the applicator  They want it back PDQ

I always assumed blackgrass came in as a weed. Didn't realise you had to spread it as a granule. Live and learn. 🤔
Here we go again, hold tight.

Seems the ski resort medical centre didn't get it too right! After paying the £8k for the British Airways Business class flight, she went to the "Golden Nugget" (local private hospitals nickname) to see the Knee specialist, 1st comment was to take the expensive Colorado leg brace off as its the wrong type! and to keep leg bent which stops the knee cap coming off, looks like if that had of been the prognosis at the resort she could of used her remaining Air Norwegian return flight. Still home safely and MRI scanned + 3 months physio .
