Coldest night of the winter so far last night. Minus four. Freezing fog as well. Everywhere covered with a hoar frost this morning. Almost looks as if it had snowed, which it hadn't.

I must admit it does look quite scenic, though.

Another cold night, but not as cold as the previous one. The hoar frost has now melted from the trees as the sun has been shining earlier. It has now clouded up, and is slightly more mild than on recent days.

That's enough winter for me, thanks!

It has rained all last night, and is still raining today as I type. Not particularly hard, but steady. I can see some more flooding if this keeps up.

It's turning colder as well. May see some flakes of snow before nightfall.

As I type the sun has just come out. It was a wet and cold night. A few flakes of snow early in the morning, but then rain for about four hours.

It looks like it might be a pleasant afternoon.

Much milder today after an unsettled night. Some rain, but not too much. Everywhere wringing wet after the rains we have had of late.

Quite breezy. Cloudy with occasional brighter spells. No sun as yet.

A brief spell of heavy rain about midnight. It woke me up!!

Clear this morning, and cooler with a brisk breeze, but sunny spells. Clouding over again now.

Supposed to be in for a cold spell for a few days starting tomorrow.

A cold spell of weather. Just a small snow shower a couple of days ago. Soon melted. Looks a bit more like snow today after a cold night.

It's typical January weather. Cold and bleak.

After a cloudy day yesterday, it finally snowed hard early evening. About an inch and a half, so not much. Then it froze overnight. It's now melting from the trees, but not noticeably on the ground.

It is a beautiful sunny and bright day, however, if chilly. Weather forecast is for frost again tonight, and then slowly warming up with rain during the week. We shall see.

Another quite sharp frost last night. Very red sky this morning, and has now clouded over and begins to look more like rain. It's warmed up a tad, and that's why I reckon it will be rain rather than snow.

Snow all gone. Thawed overnight. Milder today. In fact, markedly so. Very cloudy however, with just a hint of brightness. If it clears it could be a nice afternoon.

Brief sunny spells earlier. Now uniform grey cloud cover.

It cleared nicely yesterday afternoon. Sunshine was nice. Did a bit of tidying around the garden. Didn't come in until half four. Surprised how light it still was. The days are definitely drawing out.

A nice sunny start today. Beginning to cloud up a bit from the west. Steady westerly breeze. Quite mild still. Temperature around ten to eleven degrees. Not at all bad for this time of year.

Frosty start. Then sunshine, and now beginning to cloud over. Still a nice day, though.

A bit of rain overnight. Now cloudy but dry. Very still, with no breeze at all. Slightly milder.

After quite a bit of rain overnight, it has turned into the most beautiful spring like day. The temperature is about 13 degrees, which is mild for this time of year, and the sun is still shining as I type this at almost a quarter past four in the afternoon.

Colder weather is forecast, but it is really lovely to be able to feel the sun on your back. A foretaste of things to come, hopefully............
