Liner built something like that chassis in the 70s with 4ws, 4wd, forward control and Ford engine. The cab is different and I think back alongside the engine on the dumper.

Can you remember those forward control Thwaites that had the diagonal steering linkage ?

Years since I saw one as a kid. I think they might have been straight axles on turntables with the diagonal link across the chassis effectively rotating the axles to a degree equal and opposite if you get my drift. I expect they were expensive machines in their day compared with an old 2 pot Petter machine.
