Used to love the sound of the 50 and 55 series. Pulled well too. Many years ago, traded a 4055 in against a 6900. Same power, but the 4055 was in charge of a trailed forager while 6900 was slogging its guts out. 6900 on power harrow drill flew along compared to 4055. It was so much lighter that the harrow wasn't having to pull out the wheelings. Happy days. 8)

That 4255 is crazy money. It's 28 years old, with a lot (not for its age) of hours on it. For that price I'd want a decent warranty on it with some sort of assurance that it, particularly the transmission, isn't going to develop and expensive workshop habit. It's not even got a usable trailer hitch on it.

They were nice old tractors and it looks in good nick, but it's not really very usable in 2017 being the size it is and very slow on the road.
