Some are still hanging about around here. I've just seen three fields of wheat next to Market Harborough Livestock Market. And there's stacks of beans near Raggy Towers still to do for the two big Lesbian 770's.

Started the beans this afternoon, going well, won't fit their allocated space. Not a hope.

Gave up early as its Sunday and I won a large lump of beef in the pub raffle, it cooked really well.
The neighbours appear to be a long way off finishing judging by the number of trailers that look like they are going to keep me awake tonight.

Not too late in reality. Probably late sown, it will be ready about now.

Nothing left to do here now, and rape is well up and looks good - too good in some instances. It looks as though it will be flowering in November!

Wheat going in now, beet being lifted, and we have slipped from summer into autumn.

One week on, and it seems the Lesbians cleared the beans over the weekend. Just a rubble left now. Though I expect by the morning they'll have been through that with a primary cultivation.
Spotted the first field of cereals planted around here today. I'm looking at maybe Wednesday to start mine on the clean land. Next week onwards where the black grass and the weather needs more time.

looked at some land that was Quattro'd and mole drained back in july, after forage rye. a) its very wet indeed, and gone down quite tight (it was mole drained after it was quattro'd
b) it is full of every nasty weed you could think of, some of which has aready flowered and set more seed!

I thought that stale seed-beds were designed for allowing a good chit of weed seeds, which get sprayed off, and then sprayed off again before drilling. seems to defeat the object if the weeds go on to set seed again.

The charlock is about 4' high and in full flower, milky thistles have already set seed, black grass like hair on a dogs back, and a multitude of other stuff I don't know the name of

the same farming co. have ploughed all their osr stubbles this year, presumably to try and get on top of BG. ploughed up rough, but no bad thing as we have had over 40mm of rain in the past 10 days.

Saw some early wheat the other day, which seems to have failed on a wet headland - multiple passes with the quad seemed to have failed to stop the slugs, and that's after peas!

elsewhere, OSR after w barley varies from VERY forward, to not very good and losing the battle with slugs / flea beetle / pheasants / pigeons. Somehow, I would rather have the overly forward field, specially as the pigeon population is as big as ever.

I would be surprised if any wheat or barley was drilled this week, as any cultivated land is as wet as shit, and you wouldn't want to plough atm, as there is plenty of water standing on the headlands

First soybean field around here to be harvested is just down the road. I am most likely 10 days or more away. Corn drying fast.

Just wanted to join in, after 11 pages.

I get so lonely sometimes.
