Too many leads
Too many leads
Frightening how many different leads & chargers I have for cameras, mobiles etc. Besides the mains chargers in the house I have a camera and mains/car charger in each car. Plus mains/car charger for 2 different phones in each car.
Having just joined the 21st century and bought my first smart phone, I now need extra mains/car chargers & leads for that in each car.
Plus I have a drawer full of leads that I have no idea what they fit, phones I used to own, dare not throw them out.
Do you all suffer from the same hassle?

Yes, must be half a dozen old mobile phones here as well.OLD wrote:Frightening how many different leads & chargers I have for cameras, mobiles etc. Besides the mains chargers in the house I have a camera and mains/car charger in each car. Plus mains/car charger for 2 different phones in each car.

Either put one of these in place of your fag lighter,

Or use one of these in the fag lighter socket

And use the usb lead from your phone, kindle or what ever.
and for travelling, use one of these when in the uk or bung an appropriate adaptor for the country your in abroad

Best thing about Facebook is the logout button...

Thanks Peter for the advice on the fag lighter plugs and USB leads. The problem is there isn't a USB lead for the current Mrs Old's prehistoric phone! And my Lumix TZ5 cameras use separate batteries so I need a charger "block" in the car to charge up the spare batteries.

Maybe one of raggy's "chargers" would be the job, windy days only though!OLD wrote:Thanks Peter for the advice on the fag lighter plugs and USB leads. Re: Too many leads
I thought it was here already. Isn't there a mat type thing that charges mobiles simply by having them placed on top?Flintstone wrote:Can't wait until we have cordless charging.
I'm sure a mate of mine charges his phone at work by simply placing it on its mat on his desk.

I think there is a couple of mobiles that do wireless charging, but iPhone unfortunately isn't one of them unless you buy some kind of adapter.Raggy wrote:I thought it was here already. EDIT apparently the iPhone 8 does wireless charging.

I think that eventually all phones will. Until then I have drawers and glove boxes full of spaghetti.

Hold still, it's nearly in.
Re: Too many leads
Does that EDIT come about because you've just seen an advert on telly tonight for the first time showing that Apple will be supplying mats early in the new year for the Ip8?HESSTON4860s wrote:I think there is a couple of mobiles that do wireless charging, but iPhone unfortunately isn't one of them unless you buy some kind of adapter.Raggy wrote:I thought it was here already. Not seen that advert, I looked on apples website tbh. I knew the iPhone 7-7 plus doesn’t as I’ve got one.Raggy wrote:Does that EDIT come about because you've just seen an advert on telly tonight for the first time showing that Apple will be supplying mats early in the new year for the Ip8?HESSTON4860s wrote:I think there is a couple of mobiles that do wireless charging, but iPhone unfortunately isn't one of them unless you buy some kind of adapter.Raggy wrote:I thought it was here already.
