Giz A Job

Post by The Pretender » Thu May 30, 2019 7:40 pm

I saw this on BBF FB page.

https://www.agrifj.co.uk/jobs/8659834/c ... 079-ea.asp

£40,000/year, 34 days holiday, but 3,000 hours and you have to pay for the house.

3,000 hours minus the holidays is 66 hours a week, every week. 11 hours a day, 6 days a week average.

Would suit single person with no mates and no hobbies. It's wonder why farms have trouble recruiting.
keep honking, I'm reloading

To be fair 3000 hrs is not that high, it’s only 1000 hrs ot which can be done quite easily on a spud farm.

The “Arable” guys at my old job where doing an average of 3500 a yr which was great as it meant they didn’t have to see the wife and kids

It’s flat rate pay on these figures. No time and a half, so will they pay pension on the £39000 or £27040 “basic” for 40hrs?

It’s a salary of £27,040. They can’t guarantee you the overtime, and the overtime rate on that hourly bad should be £19.50.

And they wonder why folk go and drive plant.
Please sir, can I have some more?

Pension? They won't be needing a pension if they work those hours for any length of time.

I'm not afraid of hard work and putting in long hours when necessary, but I have a life also.

Anyway, good luck for the interview Pret.
Here we go again, hold tight.
