Warm and changeable. In fact, very warm for the time of year.

What planet are you on?

Finally we got 2mm late afternoon/evening, Yesterday they drilled a spud field (once over with the Quvoigne Pluton) and two maize fields the bio-digester lot had (once over with the Kockerling Quadro), then this morning with the dust now settled with the 2mm two more fields that are snotty london clay, by mid day the wind was a bit fresh but warm too, by 4pm it was back to summer kit, shorts, tee shirt and overalls!! 5pm - off to pick up the drillman having moved on to the chalk & claycap ground, had to use the wipers and washers to get the drizzle and crap off the screen. Off to a sale by Fawley where on monday the forecast was rain all weekend, tomorrow should be wall-to-wall sun and a possible 23-25c! and some rain just on sunday now.
about 250ac of drilling left so looks like we will be finished 20days early - same as the harvest.
Anyone got some sheep? while many are looking at poor OSR seedbeds, we have 3 on heavy ground where every damm seed has sprung and we have the best ever stand, everyone we seem to speak to has a poor crop and can't believe our "need some sheep" reply. Still long time till harvest and we all know what a damm good winter can do.

Re: Weather
Well the forecast of wall-to-wall current bun was a lie! left at 8am and a few spits about, got south of town where the M3 and A303 split and it was getting darker, greyer and wetter, Micheldever, it was fast speed wipers and fine rain blown like mad by the fierce wind, not good driving at all down to southampton, by Fawley it had virtually cleared up. There we gaggles of car drivers on the M3 doing 70-80mph with rep's summertime stopping distances, I'd adopted a fair gap a bit like many HGV's were using but at times there would be this big group of cars all squashed together most with foglights on, proper madness.
By midday it finally became sunny and most at the sale were wandering around carrying their coats under blazing sunshine!
Meanwhile back at base the wet had stayed southwest and I think the drillman knocked a couple more fields off
