We've had about 40mm this month. Good for the crops, less so for the hay. Cold and miserable today, the weather wasn't much better

Just got over the 100mm mark for the week ending Friday evening. Surprisingly, the ground is quite travellable . Is travellable a real word???

Indeed it is. I have looked this evening, at potato fields that have been irrigated, then had 125mm of rain. They are travellable. In my opinion. Tomorrow morning will be the real test. Probably won't need auto steer for the rest of the season. 😁

Interestingly, farms where they have abused the land by close cropping veg crops, rather than following a traditional long rotation, are like a load of snot. No structure in the soil and walking into the fields means a bootful of mud. The 'better farmed' land, has taken the rain well

Sunny today and shade weather. Shorts, obvs, but a little too warm for my hoodie, but not quite warm enough for just a polo shirt. FML
