Overalls

Post by The Pretender » Fri Dec 04, 2015 5:51 pm

For the last 7 years I have been sporting Massey overalls that came with my tractor(s). I like them, they fit properly, which is rare, and look ok. They were getting rather threadbare and no new ones seemed to be appearing so google was pressed into service at the weekend and I found that for the price of a decent pair of jeans I could get a proper pair of overalls without the usual tractor/machinery branding guff on them.

So ordered a pair of these http://www.engelbert-strauss.co.uk/Work ... 7-646.html

and a pair of these http://www.betawork.com/catalog/article ... /__filters_

As expected, Zee German pair came on time and were pretty much what I expected along with a big catalogue with loads of other decent looking work wear that was refreshingly free of the curse of tweed. The only issue is that I am a bit small and even the smallest pair are a little big, but no big deal.

I had an email regarding the Beta pair today, they haven't even been delivered to the warehouse yet, but will be sent to me next day when they do arrive. The Italians were probably too busy drinking wine.

Oh, sorry, I forgot, you do MANUAL labour....how quaint.

Maybe that's why I'm nearly twice your weight :(

I was told by one of the reps how hard it was to get stuff out of Italy. He said the police were stopping every no Italian wagon and fine them for anything, driving to fast or driving to slow.
He said he was having a job to get anyone to go and get kit from over there.

I got an email from the Beta supplier saying that they were having trouble getting supplies. I am not sure if that is from Beta HQ or the UK HQ in Telford. Any road, they are going to send them overnight when they do get here. A pair of 501s are 75 quid and I wouldn' wear them all day every day
