Manitou Electrical Issues

Post by The Pretender » Thu Sep 29, 2016 5:45 pm

We have a 2007 MLT731LSU. All of the warming lights on the dash are on permanently with the alarm going off (not the load indicator). At first it seemed to be related to going over a bump, which suggests a loose connection.

The battery cable is tight and clean and the earth that is clamped to the frame next to the battery is good. I have checked the connections on the alternator, they're good. I've had all of the fuses out and have given both fuse boxes a good blow with the air line, but no improvement.

I have a multimeter, but don't really know how to use it properly yet, but am willing to be walked through it. Any other suggestions? The gas forklift was doing exactly the same and it was the alternator connection.

Not sure why the French can't do electricity, hope their nuclear power stations are better.

Disconnect the batteries and then break and remake several times the connectors on both fuse boards. If that doesn't work, look for the loom multi-pin connectors and do the same with them.

Then contact Ace
